Priority services
What is our Priority Services Register?
We are committed to helping customers with special needs. We manage these support services with our Priority Services Register (PSR).
Special needs customers (or someone acting on their behalf) can register with us, and let us know the customer details and special needs
requirements. We also tell the local electricity distribution company that the customer has special needs. They need this information when
doing meter readings and maintenance.
Who is eligible?
Customers, or anyone in their household, can register with our PSR if they:
- have a chronic illness,
- are over 60 years of age,
- are blind or partially sighted,
- are deaf or hard of hearing; or
- have another type of disablity or special need
What are the priority services on offer?
Examples of the priority services we offer include:
- Textphone communications with our customer services staff
- Password scheme so you can be sure of our representatives, and those of the local electricity distributor, when they visit your home
- Bills in alternative formats including Braille, large print and talking bills
- Moving your meter to an accessible location
